Vector Corporation's patented Wurster Accelerator System provides the fastest possible spray rates for Wurster costing processes.
Compressed air diverts product away from the spray nozzle tip, optimizing product movement through the spray zone and minimizing agglomeration.

The graphs above show conventional spray rates (red) compared to spray rates achieved with the Wurster Accelerator (blue).

Vector's tapered Wurster inserts increase batch capacity without negatively affecting the performance of the process. The picture shown on the right is a 32 inch tapered Wurster Accelerator insert, which has a 570L capacity (the straight-sided 32" insert has a 300L capacity.)

Vector's VFC-LAB 1 and VFC-LAB 3 fluid bed systems, as standard, come equipped with a combinaton insert. This insert performs top spray granulation and bottom spray Wurster processes (equipped with the Accelerator System). The change over from top spray to bottom spray is achieved without tools and is completed in minutes.
Scale-Up is easily achieved by including multiple partitions within the Wurster processing insert. Each partition contains its own Wurster Accelerator spray gun and diverter system. The partitions move in unison through the use of stepper motors that accurately control the distance between the air distribution plate and bottom of the partition tubes. Partition height is controlled during the process to optimize yield and coating time.

While the process is in operation, it may become necessary to remove the spray guns for cleaning. Vector’s Removable Spray Gun design allows a method for the guns to be removed without affecting the process inside the other partitions. Without the use of tools, each spray gun can be removed and replaced within a matter of minutes.
